Boiler Replacement Dublin
Boiler Replacement Dublin passes boiler replacement requests to one gas installer who covers your area. You tell us about the boiler and the house, they ring you, usually look at it, and give you a fixed price.
An older gas boiler turns 55% to 75% of its gas into heat for the house; a condensing boiler 85% to 97% (SEAI Domestic Fuels comparison, 1 July 2026). If yours is already condensing, a new one saves little on fuel: replace it for reliability, parts or warranty.
The boiler is only part of the price. The flue, the flush, moving anything and taking out a cylinder are what separate two quotes for the same boiler.
Before you agree a price, ask: is VAT included, and are the flue, the flush, the filter and the certificate in it?

How it works
Listing an installer's prices on this site doesn't mean it's the installer we pass your request to.
Grants
Citizens Information: "The Better Energy Homes Scheme does not cover replacing a gas or oil boiler with a new gas or oil boiler." (Citizens Information, page edited 22 October 2026). This site isn't SEAI and doesn't decide or pay any grant.
Before you sign
Citizens Information: "The Better Energy Homes Scheme does not cover replacing a gas or oil boiler with a new gas or oil boiler." (Citizens Information, page edited 22 October 2026). Be wary of any offer that calls a new gas boiler grant-aided.
SEAI pays €700 towards heating controls on an existing system in a home built and occupied before 2011, approved before any work starts (SEAI).
A house that scraps its gas or oil boiler for a heat pump can get up to €14,500, including €2,000 for the scrappage, since 6 October 2026 (Citizens Information).
By law, gas work in Ireland must be done by a Registered Gas Installer (CRU). Check anyone on rgi.ie. Oil boilers need an OFTEC-registered technician.
The Building Regulations ask that a replacement boiler reaches 90% seasonal efficiency where practicable, which in practice means a condensing boiler (TGD L).
For a boiler replacement on an existing gas supply, the RGI gives you a CERT 2 completion certificate, the original white copy, straight after the job (rgi.ie). Keep it with the warranty.

No. The Better Energy Homes Scheme does not cover replacing a gas or oil boiler with a new gas or oil boiler. That's from Citizens Information (page edited 22 October 2026). The €700 SEAI heating controls grant may apply if the home was built and occupied before 2011. The bigger grants are for heat pumps: up to €14,500 for a house, including €2,000 for scrapping the old boiler.
Repair a younger boiler with a one-off fault. Replace one that's old, breaking down often, or facing a big repair. See repair or replace.
No. There is no ban on replacing a gas boiler in an existing Irish home: a Registered Gas Installer can still fit a new condensing gas boiler. What has changed is that new homes have effectively stopped getting fossil fuel boilers since the 2019 Building Regulations, no public body can grant-aid a new gas or oil boiler since 1 January 2025, and the EU aims to phase out fossil fuel boilers by 2040. See the gas boiler rules.
By law, nobody but a Registered Gas Installer (RGI) can do gas work in your home. Check the installer's name on rgi.ie. Oil boilers are fitted by OFTEC-registered technicians.
We pass your request to one gas installer who covers your area. Your number isn't sent to a list. They ring you, ask about the house and the boiler, and give you a price. Nothing is booked until you say yes. By law, gas work must be done by a Registered Gas Installer, so check their name on rgi.ie.
No. It's an introduction service. We don't do gas work. We pass your request to one gas installer who covers your area.
